Hello, Trailblazerssss!
The Salesforce ecosystem is constantly evolving, and so is the way we validate our skills. The moment we’ve been anticipating is just around the corner! From July 21, 2025, the Salesforce certification journey will have a new home. We are moving away from Webassessor, and all certification activities will now be managed through Trailhead Academy .
This is an exciting change, bringing a more integrated and streamlined experience to all of us. At Salesforcehours, we’re here to walk you through everything you need to know about this new process.
Why the Change? A More Unified Experience
For years, we’ve juggled between Trailhead for learning and Webassessor for our certification exams. Salesforce has listened to the community’s feedback and is now bringing everything under one roof. The new, unified platform on Trailhead Academy will allow you to:
- Learn: Access all the Trailhead modules and learning resources.
- Prepare: Find all the exam details and prerequisites in one place.
- Register: Book your certification exams seamlessly.
- Manage: View your certifications, and track your progress and exam history.
This integration promises a more intuitive and user-friendly experience for all Salesforce professionals.
Key Dates to Remember
As we are in the middle of this transition, here are the crucial dates you should have noted:
- June 30, 2025: This was the last day to register for any certification exam on Webassessor. All new exam registrations after this date are paused until the new system launches.
- July 13, 2025: This will be the final day to complete an exam through Webassessor.
- July 21, 2025: The new certification experience goes live on Trailhead Academy! From this day forward, all exam registrations will be handled through the new system.
Your Step-by-Step Guide to the New Salesforce Certification Experience
Come July 21, 2025, booking your Salesforce certification exam will be a fresh experience. Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough of what to expect:
Step 1: Navigate to the Trailhead Academy
Your journey will now begin in Trailhead. Head over to the Trailhead Academy section where you will find the new certification hub.

Step 2: Browse the Exam Catalog
In the certification hub, you’ll find a comprehensive Exam Catalog. Here, you can explore all the available Salesforce certifications, from Administrator level and Developer to Architect level and Consultant.

Step 3: Dive into the Exam Details
Once you select a certification that interests you, you’ll be taken to a detailed exam page. This page is a one-stop-shop for all the information you need, including:
- Exam Fees: Transparent pricing for the exam.
- Available Languages: A list of languages in which the exam is offered.
- Exam Format: Details on whether the exam is multiple-choice, proctored, or unproctored.
- Delivery Method: Choose between taking the exam online from the comfort of your home or at a designated Pearson VUE testing center.
- Number of Questions and Time Duration: Know what to expect on exam day.
- Prerequisites: Any required certifications or courses you need to complete beforehand.

Step 4: Registering for Your Exam
When you’re ready to take the leap, click the “Register Now” button on the exam page. You’ll then have the choice to register for an online proctored exam or an in-person exam at a testing center.
After making your choice, you’ll be seamlessly redirected to our new testing partner, Pearson VUE, to complete the registration process.
Step 5: Scheduling and Payment with Pearson VUE
On the Pearson VUE platform, you will:
- Select your preferred date and time for the exam from the available slots.
- Complete the payment process.
- Receive a confirmation of your scheduled exam.
Step 6: View Your Results and Credentials
After you’ve completed your exam, your results and newly earned credentials will be available directly on your Trailblazer Profile. No more waiting or logging into different platforms! Everything is centralized for your convenience.
A Crucial Tip: Sync Your Email IDs
To ensure a smooth transition of your certification history, it is critical that your Trailhead and Webassessor accounts use the same email ID. This will allow Salesforce to correctly map your past exam records and credentials to your Trailblazer profile. If your emails don’t match, you may face issues with your certification history not appearing correctly.
For more detailed information or if you have any other questions, we highly recommend reading the official FAQ on the Salesforce website.
Looking Ahead
The new Salesforce certification experience on Trailhead Academy is a significant step forward in creating a more cohesive and efficient ecosystem for Trailblazers. At Salesforcehours, we are excited about this change and will continue to provide you with the latest updates and resources to support your Salesforce journey.
Happy certifying!
